We are delighted to hear that Sonorex Oil & Gas Ltd received planning permission for their exploratory drilling rig near Newport in Wales. The access for HGVs was a challenge but we are pleased we managed to deliver a workable solution.

Brent Knoll School received planning permission last night for a purpose-built school on a new site in Lewisham. The school will cater for around 150 children and young people with language and communication difficulties. Entran prepared air quality and transport assessments in support of the successful planning application
Planning consent for Link School

Planning consent has been granted for an extension to the Link Primary School in Croydon. The school which specialises in teaching children with special educational needs can now provide modern, attractive facilties for its pupils. Entran prepared a Transport Statement in support of the planning application and devised improved facilities for mini-buses.
Appeal Success in Swindon

We are pleased to report that as part of a design team we have recently received consent for a retail extension scheme on the High Street, Weston, Bath. The scheme also included an increase in residential units above and reduced car parking provision.
Orchard View, Whitchurch

Via a Public Inquiry, Barratts have successfully achieved planning permission for a 47 dwelling residential development on land safeguarded for the A37 By-pass. The inspector concluded that as they relate to the A37 By-pass that LP Policies T.17, GB.4 and GB.1 must be considered out of date and that the likelihood of the A37 Whitchurch By-pass ever coming forward in a timely manner was remote.

After two applications and a non-determined appeal we were pleased this week to receive confirmation from PINS that the latest appeal at Haggle House in Norfolk was successful; not only granting permission for the annexe to be used as a stand-alone dwelling but also removing the previous requirement for a junction improvement.

Great result in Cheltenham for a small 3 unit residential development, approved at planning committee for the removal of a condition attached to the original planning permission to retain the existing point of access, with no expensive highway improvements necessary.
Powells Golf Classic

Despite registering 90 points, Entran only managed joint 7th out of 18 teams. However, a couple of dropped putts would have seen us finish in 3rd place on a very compact leader board. It was a fun day and we were pleased to support the great efforts by Powells to raise money for childrens charities.

Hotel approved in Acton

Planning permission granted for a 125-bed hotel in Acton this week. Entran provided Environmental and Transportation consultancy advice and produced Air Quality and Noise Assessments as well as a Transport Statement and Travel Plan for the hotel.
