Lab: Cap annual railfare increases; allow public sector rail companies to bid and take over new lines.
Lib Dem: Electrify all suburban and major rail lines; re-open many stations; support urban light-rail.
Greens: Re-nationalise the railways; scrap HS2.

East Herts DC granted planning permission unanimously this evening for a residential led development at the former Waters Garage site in Hertford. Councillors praised Forge Design Studio's scheme for this difficult site. After lengthy negotiations Entran secured a positive recommendation from the highway authority and agreed an area of highway to be stopped-up to enable the development to go ahead.

Well done team! Clean Power received planning permission last night for another 8MW ACT Pyrolysis plant and 2MW AD facility, this time at Thameshaven. Entran's EIA and transport work were key to securing permission.

The Mayor of London has admitted that TfL only spent £29m of its £82m cycling budget this financial year. TfL says that the money will be rolled forward into next year's budget but cyclists in London claim that TfL repeatedly spends only a fraction of their allocated budget on vital safety schemes.
