Clean Power consent

We were really pleased to be part of the team that today secured planning permission for an 8MW ACT Pyrolysis facility and 2MW Anaerobic digestion plant at Washwood Heath in Birmingham. Entran produced the Environmental Statement and Transport Assessment in support of the application. The scheme is one of a number of renewable energy projects we are currently progressing.

Appeal success

After two applications and a non-determined appeal we were pleased this week to receive confirmation from PINS that the latest appeal at Haggle House in Norfolk was successful; not only granting permission for the annexe to be used as a stand-alone dwelling but also removing the previous requirement for a junction improvement.

Businesscycle launch

Richard Fitter was pleased to be invited to the House of Commons for the launch of a new national initiative promoting cycling to or for work. Richard got to discuss transport policy with the Under-Secretary of State for Transport, Norman Baker MP, and met cycling legend Chris Boardman.

Two Consents In A Night

We are delighted to be part of teams that secured planning permission for two new developments on the same night:

Hawkesbury Marina, Bedworth:  Redevelopment of a Greenfield site for: 200 residential units as well as B1, B2 and B8 uses and a 120 Berth Marina.

Continuing Care Residential Community (CCRC), Yateley, providing a range of specialist care facilities for the elderly, comprising a mix of care beds, close care beds/units and assisted living units (total of 152 units) along with associated wellness centre, parking and landscaped garden areas.

Entran provided Transportation consultancy services to secure positive recommendations from statutory consultees, leading to planning permission for both sites on the same night.

Polefield Gardens

Great result in Cheltenham for a small 3 unit residential development, approved at planning committee for the removal of a condition attached to the original planning permission to retain the existing point of access, with no expensive highway improvements necessary.

Powells Golf Classic

Despite registering 90 points, Entran only managed joint 7th out of 18 teams.  However, a couple of dropped putts would have seen us finish in 3rd place on a very compact leader board.  It was a fun day and we were pleased to support the great efforts by Powells to raise money for childrens charities.
