Bath Bike Park update

We were disappointed to hear that the Bath Bike Park project at Entry Hill will now not proceed. An update from Matt and Ollie at Pedal Progression confirms that a combination of site complexities and inflationary pressures have meant that the project is not financially viable for Pedal Progression or B&NES Council.

A great many people showed support and enthusiasm for the project over the last few years and the team at Pedal Progression poured huge amounts of effort and expertise into bringing forward a bike park for Bath. It would have undoubtedly been an outstanding recreational asset for the people of Bath and the surrounding area but we know Pedal Progression will continue to support grass routes mountain biking, and improve access and inclusion via their site in Bristol and we hope Entran can play a part in that.

Applications were submitted, making use of PD rights, to convert the third and fourth floors to residential space, whilst an External Alterations application was used to completely redesign the facades to create better synergy with the apartments and provide striking, dark cladding on the fourth floor.
