Today, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Local Government, Simon Hoare MP, on behalf of the Secretary of State has decided to grant planning permission for over 1000 new homes and 1200sq.m of commercial and community floorspace in Cricklewood.

Travel Plan Co-ordinators
In 2017, we prepared a Framework Travel Plan for Gateway Housing's proposed residential development at Earlham Grove, Forest Gate, and then for their second phase of development on the adjacent site. In 2021 we wrote detailed Travel Plans for both parts of the development to discharge planning conditions prior to occupation.
Since 2022, Entran has acted as Travel Plan Co-ordinator (TPC) for the combined development, now known as Earlham Square. We have collaborated with LB Newham, prepared the necessary travel surveys, collated the residents' responses, and submitted survey reports to the Council in line with the agreed Action Plan.
In September, we carried out the second annual survey and this week that was agreed by the Council, meaning that the next travel survey is not required until 2025.
We also have TPC roles for developments in Brighton, Ipswich and Leicester, each requiring varying degrees of input from Entran and the client.

Travel choice?
The Transport Secretary has told the Conservative Party Conference he will “give people choice to make their lives easier and not to force them to travel in a certain way, or at a certain time,” as he announced a “comprehensive plan for drivers.”

Successful appeal for fitness business
Yesterday, PINS granted planning permission for a mixed residential and business use (fitness/bootcamp) at April Cottage in Almondsbury. South Gloucestershire Council had refused the planning application on highways grounds but that decision was reversed by the Planning Inspector.
